1 – Swagger and Humility
It has both the swagger and collective attitude of a country that is in the ascendancy-coupled with humility and spirituality.
2 - Historical Appreciation and Destiny
There is a deep understanding and appreciation of its history, the here and now and an exhilarating sense of destiny.
3 – Legacy of your Life
Rattan Tata died whilst I was in the country. His life story, values and are a metaphor for how a good life can be lived. The sense of loss was palpable almost everywhere I looked.
4 – A Self-Helping Nation
Whilst the country is unstoppable in terms of its dreams and aspirations - the transition from high levels of poverty/social challenges is helped by a population that self- evidently is doing all that is necessary - to help itself.
5 - Focused and Purposeful Interaction
In all our (many!) interactions throughout my time here - without exception, all were focused, purposeful, fast paced, open minded, respectful and energising. Everyone wants to make new/better things happen. The default mindset - is ‘what can be done’.
6 – The Country That Never Sleeps
India never sleeps. 03:00 arrival - a throng of greeters - picking up their many 100’s of guests - the business of doing business and making things happen is 24/7/365.
7 – Infrastructure Efficiency
India is super-efficient - 1000’s miles flown - internationally and domestically, taxi’s and tuk tuks - precision in minutes - despite the vast distances. Travel infrastructure is going to be the envy of the world.
8 – Going Cashless
UPI @Priyen. Cashless, peer to peer unique payments system-that makes digital cards/PayPal look like medieval shekels.
9 - Statesmanship and Global Impact
A political leader that understands statesmanship and how to thrive in a global economy and reality. India-centric with positive global benefits worldwide.
10 – The Population
A high IQ, aspirational, get up and at it - population - identity/history and necessity being part of the push factor - opportunity, fulfilment, self-actualisation and living life the way it is intended to be lived - some of the pull factors.
We are in possession of insights, knowledge and experiences that will transform how we think and do as a business.
