Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with a Focus on Reproductive Medicine. Midlands Salary up to £139,882 dependent on years of experience Are you a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a passion for reproductive medicine? At their maternity service, you’ll find a supportive, multi-professional team environment, working alongside dedicated specialist midwives and other experts. The service offers a variety of specialist clinics that cater to specific needs such as mental health, care for vulnerable patients, twin pregnancies, preterm birth, small baby growth monitoring, and Rainbow clinics. Your day-to-day role will involve a blend of routine and emergency obstetric care, including non-resident on-call shifts dedicated solely to obstetrics. You’ll provide labour suite cover, perform elective caesarean sections, lead ward rounds, and oversee maternity triage and assessment units, as well as antenatal clinics. On the gynaecology side, they have a two-tier on-call rota in place. One consultant handles emergency cases, while another is available for complex surgeries and to support the maternity team whenever gynaecological expertise is needed, including oncology cases.
